What is the Point?

Well the good thing about digital comics is the size.....
i live in a small house so my comics have to be kept in the attic, and so are hard to just pull out on a whim and read em, with digital comics you can keep thousands of comics on your hard drive like a massive virtual library.

With HDD's being so cheap lately i have bought a n External USB HDD just for storing all my comics.

Another good thing about digital comics is the amount of comics that are currently scanned....
this is currently (unless you are very rich) the only way to read those very rare and fragile very first issues of batman or superman ect. And could you imagine trying to collect all of Jack Kirbys' work.........it would be near impossible and prohibitively expensive.

For me, the best way to read digital comics is via a laptop........i usually fill a couple of dvdrs with comics before i go on holiday and relax by the pool reading and catching up with all my favourite comics.

What do we mean by digital comics?

Well.........................
What we mean is comics that have been scanned page by page with a scanner (Like you would scan your old photographs) then each .jpg is numbered in sequence and placed in a .zip or a .rar file, which is then converted into a digital comic archive file ( .cbz for .zip & .cbr for .rar files) which can the be read on you computer using a digital comic book reader such as CDisplay or FFView. As Seen Below
